Privacy.
This is a personal website and writing archive. It has no user accounts, no logins, no advertising, and no cross-site tracking. It collects only the minimum needed to keep counters working and the site healthy. This page explains exactly what that means.
What is collected
- Aggregate counts. When you open a post or photo, an anonymous view count is incremented. Likes and written feedback you choose to leave on a photo are stored. None of this is tied to your identity.
- Hashed IP for rate limiting. To prevent abuse of the counters and feedback form, your IP address is run through a one-way hash and used only as a short-lived rate limit key. The raw address is not stored.
- Privacy-friendly analytics. Vercel Web Analytics records aggregate page-view metrics without cookies and without building a profile of you.
- Security reports. Browsers may send Content-Security-Policy violation reports, which are kept briefly to detect misconfiguration and attacks.
Cookies
The site sets no advertising or tracking cookies. The only cookie it may set is vc_optout, and only if you deliberately opt this device out of the view counter. It stores a single flag and nothing else. Your browser's theme preference is kept in local storage on your own device.
Third parties
The site is hosted on Vercel and uses Upstash Redis for its counters and rate limiting. Photos are served from Cloudflare R2. Some posts embed YouTube (in privacy-enhanced mode) or X / Twitter; opening those embeds involves those providers under their own privacy policies. No data is sold or shared for marketing.
Your choices and contact
Because nothing here identifies you, there is no account to delete. You can opt a device out of the view counter, block cookies in your browser, or decline the embeds. If you have a question about privacy, or want photo feedback you left removed, email me and I will handle it. Contact details are on the contact page.
